Who do you skate with on a regular basis?
All of my mates at Southbank, the HTL (Hold Tight London) crew and the Landscape lot!

When did you start skating and why?
About 5 or 6 years ago when I had a go on a mate’s board; was hooked from then on…the usual story.

Has being sponsored changed things for you? Do you feel a spirit of healthy competition?
A spirit of healthy competition!? Adoooooot!

South Bank or Cantelowes?
Southbank can be the worst place on some days but I have to choose it definitely.

Tell us a good story about your local spot...
I heard they were going to turn it in to a Starbucks!?…Ha ha…

You're partly Japanese right? Have you been to Japan? How was it?
Yea I’m half Japanese (ask Ches about that). I was born in Tokyo and lived there for 4 years…can’t really remember that much from then, but I’ve been back a few times on holiday which was pretty good. I’ve only been there once since I started skating and I went to Osaka last summer and skated with the crew there…that was pretty amazing. Everyone is so sound over there.

What do you do besides skateboarding?
Go to college in the weekdays… but when I’m not skating…chilling at a skate spot!

Who would you least like to live with from the Landscape team?
No ones too terrible…Nick, ‘cause he’s keen on smoking gretins sonners!

Who would you most like to live with from the Landscape team?
Ha…everyone’s cool…Stella! (Joey's dog)

Do you favour a certain kind of music? What have you been listening to?
I’m into pretty much everything…but I’m always keen for Van Morrison and the Stone Roses.

Who are your favourite skaters and why?
British skaters get me stoked the most, in London… I’d say people like Chewy, Lucien and Snowy who blow you away in real life, just so good at skating and also have a good time while they do it…those sort of people get me stoked.

What's the furthest you've travelled to skate?
I’ve been to Japan…but that was more of a holiday…I’ve also been to Barcelona for skating. Other than that the furthest is Sheffield or Manchester…exotic!

What does your set-up consist of usually?
Landscape board and wheels, Indy Lows, Bones Reds

What plans do you have for the future?
Ermm…Finish school and go to university, from then on I have no idea… just keep skating…take each day as it comes.
